*psst* thanks Willamena!
![]() From the almighty wiki: Quote:
"There is no evidence to suggest you have this disease." is essentially equal to "there is no evidence to suggest god exists" is it not? And from this lack of evidence you cannot conclude that 1) you don't have the disease or 2) God does not exist. Because there is lack of evidence for the other way around also.... (Or at least, according to some people)

Ok, I apologise, I'm really slow in this thread. I'm missing a whole lot it seems =\
Explain exactly where I'm going wrong (And type slow, I can't read that fast if I need to pay extra attention! )

An amusing little thread. I am scratching my head on a few issues however, two of which are:
1. "God" has never been proven to exist by any being that has ever lived, although many have ratttled on and on and on about their "invisible friends". The end result is that they only demonstrate that they persoanlly believe very deeply in the possibility of a "god" figure being as real (to them) as I believe my ashtray to be (to me). Then again, I can show you my ashtray. *Holds up his favorite ashtray... inadvertently dumps ashtray into his lap* "Damn!" *Runs off to get the Dustbuster* 2. The other thing that gets me is the penchant of people to ascribe qualities to their invisible friend that are equally unprovable as their invisible friend is. Logically, I suppose there is no reason why they cannot do such a thing, but it does tend to stretch credulity. One may as well also claim that "god" struts about in pink tights and indigo wooly slippers for all the difference it makes as no one can prove that "he" does not. "He" is invisible, so who is to say? Who knows, perhaps to some, god is wearing a godly feather boa and has a penchant for "bling". I guess what I am saying is, "Does any of this really matter in the slightest?" It isn't likely that we will ever know a definitive answer, so... what's the point?

happened exactly as i saw them, and some ocured days latter, and some years latter, this shows God Knows All things. And if some built a house or a car or whatever, would'nt he have a blue print of the structure? So whats your point? if i were next to you i'd like to poke you in your blind eye(spirirtualy) with my pinky lol. |
