Absolutely, Bill. Assuming that God exists as a sentient being, this insight is profound while at the same time incredibly compassionate. Jealousy, anger........all actions of the mind that result in hellish experiences - who is to say that God doesn't already suffer his own mental prison of "Hell?"

Jesus brought along the concept of Hell. That amounts to a far greater sin than anything the OT God committed. At least those who died in the OT suffered momentarily. Jesus commits them to eternal suffering.

I'm not a big fan of the "Jesus redeems the OT" argument anymore but then that isn't very relevant to Christianity.
