Maybe we should be judging God? Clearly the behaviour of the deity, as depicted in the Bible, would not be tolerated if he was human. As bad as some human despots are, even they do not have the capacity for the badness of God if you believe the Biblical authors (which I don't). Flooding the planet and killing off everything apart from the chosen few humans and animals is the act of insanity imo!

No. We should not judge God. You can probably judge someone's idea of God, but to God Himself, I would never do that. God knows things we don't know, and understands things we don't understand.
The flood story is probably a parable (True in meaning but not a literal account). Jesus spoke in parables, so I would assume that the prophets did, too.

Haven't you already started a thread discussing this issue already? Anyway, to answer your question, no I don't think we should judge God and frankly, it's pretty humorous to think we should. Judging God implies that:
1.) We know more than him since we are to pass judgement over his actions 2.) We have the capibilities/knowledge to impart justice on him.

I figure one can judge what one pleases. I think one would have more effect blowing one's nose than judging God--it's far more productive.

People judge everything, but to judge God is folly. How can we judge what we don't truly comprehend....
