Should We Judge God? (Jesus, genesis, prophet, bible, Biblical)

Perhaps God has merely gotten a "bad rap" from people trying to justify their poor decisions and subsequent actions. Just like yourself, people from the beginning of the ages want to blame God for just about everything. I wonder why you do it, though? Is it pleasurable? Is it cathartic? Do you feel superior to God for asking this question?

No point in trying to Judge God
If he exists and you find him guilty ....He is still God... and you can do nothing about it.
If he does not exist ... there is no one to Judge anyway...
If he exists and is not guilty but the actions you blame on him were done by men alone...
Then you certainly have the wrong target.

I thing men have used the existence of God as an excuse for their own actions, and have put false words into his mouth. To ameliorate their own sin by saying " God wanted it Done"

The Baha'i scriptures explicitly state (paraphrasing),

"It is not for individuals to judge God...."

and imply that the opposite is what is appropriate!

They also say, as do other scriptures also,

"He shall not be asked of His doings!"

What makes you think God went against His own rules? Even if He were to go against His rules, how would we know He did?

God said "Thou shalt not kill." Jesus said "love thy enemy" and "turn the other cheek."
However, God killed millions throughout the OT.

God, as depicted in many places in the Bible is highly anthropomorphic -- that is, God acts in very human ways. But is also depicted as being wholly transcendent of human attibute. Anthropomorphism isn't an absolute characterization, but a literary device.

Sodom and Gomorrah, and the Flood come to mind. Even though they are just stories, they still imply God will tell us to do one thing, but he will go off and do another.
