McCain is going to say whatever he thinks will win him funds and votes. The fact that he's so wrong and that there isn't an uproar over it is a testomoney to our education system. It's no wonder that he's always given me the creeps. I fervently pray he hasn't got a snowballs chance in hell of winning the primary.
HB3, thanks for pointing that section out. Too bad I don't have the time to remind Pat Robertson of that particular by picketing them with that "Rom, ch13." Can you immanage the hub bub that would ensue?

In ______________________ (fill in the blank) la-la land, the facts are whatever certain approved fact-makers say they are, and the truth is what you are told it is. That's what people get when they turn to other "men" for truth, leadership, authority. That's the WHOLE world system. That's a big part of the reason why I do not vote at all anymore. I have absolutely no desire to live under the authority or rule of ANY governing "fact"-ion, or "state" (of being) "representatives". What's "representative" of MY state of being, is "subject" ALONE to MY authorship (authority) in God(UNIverse). I will allow NO MAN to guide/guile me into his version of "reality". Leaders want you to follow. Plain and simple. That is what MAKES them leaders. followers, and subjects. I am neither "follower" or "subject". So WHY ON EARTH would I cast a vote for a leader?!? ![]() I mean... you GET what you vote for...right? ![]() |

Religion, the Abramic flavors in particular, tends to act as a brake on social change. Religion picks and chooses scriptures and doctrines that support a conservative compliance with prevailing social values. It does not matter what these values are. The scriptures are flexible and ambiguous.
No matter how far afield Government policy wanders, conservative Christians will always support it and insist this is what the path the founding fathers intended. |

McCain had the chance to do something truly great for America. Instead he cowtowed to George Bush, thinking that doing so might get him to the presidency.
Bye bye, John. |

Wrong. I almost never get what I vote for.

To claim that the United States is a Christian Nation implies that the U.S. is controlled by, governs and reacts in a Christian manner. Hardly anything about this country can be stated which would be more idiotic. The history of the U.S. pretty much shows it ****** all over the teachings and parables of Jesus Christ. Why any respectable Christian would associate the history of the U.S. with their religious beliefs either shows complete ignorance or the true nature of their religious belief. |
