Does God Work? (worship, faith, organization, religion)

I have known too many people who spend their belief being able to quote verses perfectly, but don't seem to put them in any practice. I am more upset with a Christian who is unloving (Love is God's greatest command) than I am with any atheist. I would prefer an honest atheist to a dishonest Christian.

God doesn't just want us to believe, but to follow His commands as well, which are works.

If an angel gets sent, then that is work isn't it?
If angels gets shouted at by scriptures, doesn't it have to reply in the wording it is understood by?
So who has a load more work to do then most, just to keep up with all these new religions man keeps coming up with.
Why all keep saying Oneness and people shout "we have peace, in this way?"....

These are your standard religious people "candles in the wind" worthless and trying to gain heaven with works. A little breeze and you can blow that candle out. I agree it is all in their heads.

To actually become that godly idea, it has to work it's way into the heart. Only when the heart governs your life instead of the mind will you truly be on the path. You won't have to remember anything because its just "there".

Here's your real christians - they know that works alone are never good enough to gain heaven and so, look upon the only person whos works are good enough, Jesus Christ, for salvation. The Lord puts it in your heart.

The only thing that can extinguish it is freewill.

I hate religion, salvation isn't based on a persons religion, works he performs .... It's individual. The church is a bunch of individuals (called the body of Christ) with one thing in common - their sin's are covered by the blood of JC.

Individual? You bet. Heaven's gate is far too narrow for a church bus to fit through it. Ya'll best get out and walk if you want in. Your own effort is what will get you there.

Sin? I know nothing of it. People need to take responsibility for their own actions and stop hanging the blame on the influence of supernatural beings.

Jesus is sitting here next to me and shaking with laughter, BTW.

We've been buddies for some time now.

I compose all my scattered thoughts in MS Word and I just copied and pasted your quote from Xenon and placed it in my post and hit the quote button on the advanced toolbar to wrap it in " " but not before hitting the quote button under your post. There is an easier way to get a "quote-in quote" but I forgot how to do it.
