The Bible says there is but one God and none other besides Him, He knows NOT ONE. But, the Bible says when we accepted the free gift of eternal life, we became adopted as children into God's Family, we are now Children of God, and it says that when He shall appear, we will be like Him. Note, we shall be LIKE Him, but not HIM, we shall be transformed into His image. We are all a part of what makes up the gods anyway. We are all connected. If, after I have passed on out of the cycle of incarnations and my spirit energy has returned to the whole, someone were to envision me as their goddess and they believed that I could be their deity and care for them in a way that a goddess does, then perhaps my energy may manifest wholly as such to them. I do not claim to know if that is possible to happen or not, but I guess it could.

I do not believe that there are "requirements" as some would think. Unless you consider people who follow you and call upon your essence to hear them and help them as requirements. I guess that would depend on the strength of the following.

Who really knows? We all just speculate on this stuff anyway.

Note: I find it hard to answer the poll as it uses both "right" and "potential" in the question. To "right" I would answer "no" because I do not see me as being elevated enough to even consider such, but to "potential" I would answer "yes" because who knows what may happen to my spirit thousands of years from now and how people would see me?

I am not sure that I understand the point of this question. Is this meant as a "what if you could be anything" question, or is this more along the lines of, "you're arrogant if you even think that achieving godhood or goddesshood is in your future"? Sorry, I'm just confused here.

Funny - I just finished making a post about this on my blog. Yes, I believe that we have the potential to become a god and I believe this is clear from the scriptures.

A god? Sure I have the potential to. Chinese mythology is full of people who were deified because they did something cool. In fact, it used to be all you had to have done was lived and be remembered by your descendants. No biggie. (Well, maybe in this day and age it would be difficult if not near impossible.)

As for whether I have the right to, I don't even understand that question. What do you mean by the right to? Like what? The right to vote? The right to wear purple socks on Wednesdays??

I do not believe, however, that we have either the "right" or the potential to become God. (as opposed to a god) I believe we all already are God. Most of us just don't know it yet.

SInce you said chinese i thought tell you about the warrior from the three kingdoms period, Guan Yu. He was born normal but because of his power and skills he is recognsed as the general of god, he has monastreys after him, he had the capabilaty.
