last days usually point the end of the world. Return of Jesus(PBUH) is the very big sign of apocalypse. after his return there would be golden age and peace all around the world. that would be the last piece of time of peace on earth. then there would be an incident and boom! end of time, end of kinetic energy in the universe and planets would collide...etc

and yes, Quran says he is not the son of God because God is not male and God doesnot have body like we do. to say he is the son of God kinda puts Maria(PBUH) and God in a picture as if they were couples with a relationship. this idea is not acceptable.

i sometimes think that you use these saying as a matter of speech. because he doesnot have father. only God could make that miracle happen so therefor you call him son of God.
