please give your comments on the following verse; Gen.1:27; so God created man in his image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
what do you understand from this verse? johan.

God is Spirit. We are made in his spiritual image, which is why there can be male and female (physical attributes).

God, in his image, which is to say from its perspective as spirit, created man. Physical existence was already in place; what was created was man "in his image" --that is to say a perspective of spirit was created in man, similar to god's. It describes the moment of first self-awareness.

The point is, so many people are concentrating on the physical image when God is not physical. If God is Spirit, then his image must be spiritual.

To me it means that from the divine perspective, there is no subject or object, and that self is a construct of thought.

yes, man in his image and then he says; male and female he created THEM. this verse clearly describes the image of God to be male and female in one body. johan.

i cant agree more with your quote; i am what i perceive or i am what i am!!
this verse indeed tells us about subject and object because it clearly says the image of god is male and female, you cant misread this. futher it says you or any person = male and female in one body. the question is; which part of you is male and which part is female?? johan.

Johannes I agree male and female is in one body or from one body... Have a look at the ankh myth on my web page and you see this explain in a different way very abstract but similar.. Male = Y and Women = XX I think male have Y and X chromosomes... If you have any questions please ask...
