You wouldn't have to build a full sized arc to disprove it. There is a finite size limit for a wooden ship, and there is a certain amount of space that a breeding population of every animal on the planet would take up and those two finite amounts of space are nowhere in the same ballpark.
Not to mention, again, the fact that the Earth is a closed system, and there is nowhere for the water to have come from, or go to, for that matter, after the fact, and that you would have to more than triple the volume of water on the planet to cover all the land, or that such a volume of water would raise air pressure so high that nothing could breathe. . . This could go on, and on, and on, and on, and so on. And still no need for Mythbusters. B.

A local First Church of God had an ad for "Spiritual Mythbusters--does God exist?" on their sign out front. All I could think of was Matt and Jamie trying to test out if God existed
. I figured it would have to involve balistics gell in some way. Would that use Buster to simulate Christ?

well I guess they could test to see how much energy it would have taken to roll the stone away from the tomb. Large amounts of explosive are of course the last result (nice to see another fan btw)

There other factors that's need to be taken into consideration.
It only say it took 40 days of rain, to make the ark to float. But they spend more than 40 days on board. It also said that the highest mountain was covered by at least 17 metres. It began raining on 17th day of 2nd month. It was only on 17th day of the 7th month that the ark came to rest on the Ararat range. And it was not until 27th day of 2nd month, before they left the ark, and release the animals. That's over a year they have been in that boat. And 1 of the factors that I want to bring up is what did Noah and his family and all the animals eat at that time? Even if you only have 2 of every animal, you would still need to feed them. And being in the boat for over a year, the ark would require even more space for storing food for everyone and everything. And what did they eat after everything was destroyed by the flood. It would take time for them to grow food, and the animals to repopulate the earth before people and animals could eat. The number of animals in the ark, and the storage of food it required to keep, would make the ark seem incredibly small. Unless the people and animal had fast for over a year, how do you take account for that the size, the number of species, and what they eat during the whole time?

maybe it was a tardis?
![]() But seriously, I see no problem in the rain continuing for however long it was! I said another thread similar to this, I wouldnt have believed a Tsunami could hit and take hundreds of thousands of lives, but it happened! You also have to remember that the land then was one, not different continents like we know today so plausible that "the whole world" would be affected! As for food, they prob had stores and rationed - animals arent like us they dont need to eat every day - they can go a week or two without food (and their was plenty of water ) and from what I remember there wasnt that many humans on board anyway!

Forget about the animals for a moment. I would just be impressed if someone could build a boat that size out of nothing but wood and get it to float. I would love to see someone build a wooden boat that size, without steel cross beams to reinforce it. Just get the boat to float with nothing much in it on calm waters. I don’t think they can do it, I think the dimensions described in the Book of Genesis far exceed the structural limitations of wood. But it would be an interesting experiment if someone were to try.
