Why does God need religions?
What denomination is God? If God wanted followers of religion why make us human and displace us? Why did God make so many religions? If God is a God of Truth why are so many seeking Truth or just practicing faith?

Perhaps because it is the groundwork for spirituality.
Love, Mercy, Justice Quote:
Long answer for a short question. Short answer: Free Will God gave people free will to do as they please. He set the framework for religion, and people took over from that. Because God isn't going to force Himself on anyone, so He allows people to find Him. Last edited by Bishka; 04-11-2007 at 02:08 AM. Reason: Adding to my post on this thread |

If God didn't need religion then his 1st of Ten Commandments (in the Exodus) wouldn't be to worship him, would it? There would be no one to worship God if there were no religion.
And there were consequences if you didn't worship God, as can be seen in the books of Judges, Kings and Chronicles.

In that case, I hope NonTheism counts as a religion.
![]() Plus, I don't think the Abrahamic God likes the idea of different religons: It clearly contradicts the 1st Commandment |

This is an argument as opposed to: God doesn't make religion. Religion makes God. Right?
Completely subjective, I'm afraid.
