The video "Center of Our Universe" fits nicely with the description given in Abraham 3, which states our earth and it's galaxy, sun, moon, stars, etc. are near, or next to, where the Lord dwells in the universe (which Dr. Gentry suggests is the Orion galaxy, which is at the center of the universe and closest to our earth and our galaxy), as is Kolob on the same plane or distance, as earth, from where the Lord dwells. Again see Abraham 3: 3 The model in the video puts our galaxy next to the center galaxy, along with a ring of other galaxies on the same plane, or parallel with ours, around this center galaxy, named Orion, where Dr. Gentry claims could be where the Lord resides... I tried the video but turned it off just after the astronauts read Genesis. I would have been more interested in hearing a well prepared lecture that used real science to support their beliefs.
Instead I felt that I was watching communist propaganda that completely disregarded science and simply depended on quotes from the bible to prove their point. Scientifically there is no evidence for a universal center. It's not clearly there at all. Everywhere scientists look the night sky shows stars, nebula's, galaxies, it's all the same in every direction we look. To be precise the light we receive from any galaxy is not reflected, it's emitted from it's own stars. An object that shows a red shift is moving away from us and an object that is blue shifted is moving towards us. Almost everything in the night sky is moving away from us. The problem the scientists are having is they cannot resolve objects far enough out in space to learn that the universe is much larger than their current estimate. They can only see about 13 billions light years out so they think it's only 13 billion light years old when actually it's much older than that. The bible talks about time as a ratio of 1,000 days on earth equal 1 day in heaven. I find it interestingly similar to your quote from the Book of Mormon except of course that it's opposite, and time and revolutions of a body are certainly not the same thing but it may be that the amount of revolutions of the body corresponds to an amount of time??? The Multi-verse God isn't at the center of the universe, He's at the center of the multi-verse. Think of a sphere with eleven layers and a hollow center. The layers are the dimensions, the hollow center is heaven and it only appears hollow and empty from the outside. From this center of the multi-verse God emits the energy that creates all of the dimensions. People wonder when the big bang was that created everything, the truth is it's still happening. As this God energy leaves heaven it's frequency changes, it goes from extremely high at the inner layer to very low at the outer layer. This is what creates the dimensions and separates them. Now our 3rd dimensional material universe is the outermost layer on this sphere of dimensions. If you could shift your frequency (like the angels) then you could travel down through the eleven dimensions (you'll learn how to do this eventually) but this still does not get you to heaven because heaven is separate, it is not a frequency of God energy, it is not space/time like the dimensions.
