Are All People Sinful? (contradiction, sinners, bible, faith, God)

Do you believe all people are sinful? If so, do you base your belief that all people are sinful on observation, or do you base your belief on faith that all people are sinful? And if you base your belief that all people are sinful on observation, what is it that you have observed which leads you to believe all people are sinful?

If you mean inherrantly, no. If you mean, do all people sin, then yes.

Both. Faith gives me the standard by which sin must be judged (as it's missing that standard that is sin) and observation combined with the impossibility of reaching such a high standard that tells me that all sin.

And if you base your belief that all people are sinful on observation, what is it that you have observed which leads you to believe all people are sinful?

I've never yet met anyone who I haven't seen sin in some, usually small, way. To list all the observations I have made woule take forever but tell me. Have you ever met someone who you are certain has never hurt another person, whether physically, emotionally, whatever, through anger? Even realtively small children do this, so I would have to say that I know noone who fits that bill.

I can't base it on observation as I have not got to know all people, all the people I have ever got to know fall short of God standard for holiness and goodness written in the bible.

Cursing, lying,selfishness,cheating on spouses,blaspheming,hypocrisy,hatefulness,violence ,drunkenness,ungratefulness towards God for all they have,pride,love of money,lack of love towards their neighbours and on and on.

Well I don't base my belief on faith so that leaves the "observation" option on the poll.

However, there is a third possibility other than faith and observation and that is reason. I can, for example, conclude that all single men are bachelors without ever observing a single man or a bachelor. A person is, by definition, imperfect and so they must be sinful since that is what being sinful is. If we overcame our imperfections, we would no longer be people (or human for that matter). A sinless person is a contradiction and an impossibility just as a married bachelor.

No. I do not believe that little children can sin and those that die at a very young age are sinless.

I do believe that all people who have reached the age of accountability are sinful.

I base my belief on faith, one comes in contact with such a small percentage of the people who have ever lived that it would be difficult to base ones belief on observed behavior, however, my observations have never contradicted my belief.

If by "sin," you mean "dumb," then I would say that "no, not all people are dumb, but dumb people do exist and there sure are a lot of 'em."

I believe that sin is just a nice veil for people to pass judgement on others. So I guess no I don't believe that people are sinners.

All sin is is giving into your fleshly needs and wants, so there is sin. All people have bodies, so all people sin. The very young and people who do not know better (ie Mentally handicapped) are not held accountible for their sins.
