I don't believe in a god that would seperate their 'creations' when they've (if, in theory, they've created us) given us the capacity to love and care.

That is my understanding of the Christian heaven as well. And I too feel that as being immoral and down right cold.

That does not sound like any type of "Heaven" at all. That sounds more like a selfish, narcissistic paradise and I'd want no part of it. I'd glady choose the alternative.

Doesn't the bible call everyone to love everyone else as much as they love themselves? You are suppose to love *everyone* not just your family members. Also, if they are being immoral you should probably be confronting them and not pleading with God to do what isn't right. He said that he would punish the wicked. Are you all asking him to lie to benefit yourself? You seem to be looking at the problem through a straw. I guess it doesn't really matter though because we probably simply cease to exist when we die anyway.

Isn't that the point. Why should those who follow in God's footsteps and love others have to be subjected to the hateful acts of those rebelling against God. And for those who don't uderstand why evil should be allowed at all, how unjust is it to lock out these people from life because of their rebellion. 12,000 years of evil balanced by 12,000 years of good. It sounds fair to me.

IMO ~ heaven and hell are metephorical concepts, used to help people of a time in our history that were primarily ignorant (unknowing, uneducated) understand some concepts that are reasonably important.

It's like talking to children trying to bring a concept that is beyond thier current capacity to understand...so we say things like...If you do this...you will get this really great reward...it is really cool...but if you do not do this, or you do something opposing you will suffer, and have your favourit toy taken away...or something of that nature.

It also gives people somthing to look forward too if they other then turning to dust and living in some kind of holding pin after they die...this way their is a path and a cool destination, that anyone can achieve...or so it would seem.

Then Hell becomes the place you go instead of the bright loving place...you go to the dark unloving place if you don't do a certain thing, or you don't take care of your fellow man etc.

My experience so far has shown me that there is a very active after life, and that we simply move from our human shell back into the spiritual dimension and are reunited with the others that have passed on....

And we really won't know for ourselves for absolute sure untill we do.

I do not for one believe any longer in the Christian Heaven and Hell theory...evil is simply a creation of how we choose to view things, and Lucifer can only effect those that believe.

Here's a question:

Lets say Jack considers himself a christian and aside from his appetite for having sex with little boys, he lived his life in accordance with the the teachings of the bible. On his death bed behind prison walls, Jack prays to god to forgive him of his earthly sins and is subsequently allowed into heaven. Raping little boys is what made Jack happy on earth. Will he not be able to continue doing what makes him happy in heaven?

Of course there are many logical reasons why heaven and hell don't exist, and they certainly don't.
