As far as amusing myself goes, I do enjoy discussing these things because I have an open mind, however I'm not poking fun at the believers. We are all believers in something and I'm definitely not saying I'm right and everyone else is wrong. I am willing to admit that I don't know for certain what form "God" takes. If she/he/it/they exist at all.
Do you KNOW that God is not a little green martian posing as an all powerful divine being or do you CHOOSE TO BELIEVE that God is not a little green martian posing as an all powerful divine being?

• Accounts say that god has come down in a cloud and/or going up in a cloud - THE ACCOUNT DOES NOT SPEAK OF GOD COMING DOWN AS IF ON CLOUD--IF SPEAKS OF JESUS CHRIST AS COMING DOWN AS IF ON CLOUD, WHICH SIMPLY MEANS HIS PRESENCE WOULD BE UNSEEN. Destroying 60 entire cities and slaughtering every man, woman and child because His people needed a place to live doesnt seem righteous (Deuteronomy 2). But if you're an alien race trying to keep your experiment on track then wiping out a few bad specimens would be acceptable.

And only some angels are refered to as having wings, others are wingless or in the form of men. And there are several descriptions particularly in Rev that could be describing spacecraft. The describer seemed to be a bit "out of it" at the time.

Remember I'm not saying I believe the things I've written to be true. I'm just offering an alternate "science based" explaination for the above ideas which I believe are just as plausible as the "religious based" explaination.

Are you saying that we will be invaded by alien forces or we have already been invaded by alien forces? If it is in pass tense I guess these aliens really had it going on. They set us up and got us going and will be checking on us real soon. I think they need to hurry up because we seem to have made a mess of things.

I'm saying that the following ideas are another way of describing the events in the bible.

Aliens either create or use an already existing planet and call it Earth.
They then prepare the planet for life. Grow vegetation blah blah blah.
Then they "create" the subjects, maybe by planting the cells which eventually evolved into humans, and let them loose on the world.
The whole thing gets screwed up when one alien or group of aliens, Satan, interefers with the subjects. ( Eden )
It gets screwed up again when some of the more horny aliens shag the subjects resulting in interspecies breeding. So they scrap most of it and start almost from scratch. ( The Flood )

Thats just the beginning but I'm not going to translate the whole bible into the "alien version". But I do think these ideas are just as believable as the traditonal biblical ones, considering that neither one can be proven or disproven. It just depends on which you are more comfortable with or of course maybe you prefer a completely different theory of how we came to be here and why.
