IF there is a God, then there will be a consequence for not believing.

I happen to believe there is a God, so I must say yes.

What the consequences are depend on how you are judged and only God can decide that.

No matter what, you will be resurrected and become immortal as a result of the Atonement. You will also undoubtedly go to heaven. LDS believe that everyone but a very small group of people will go to heaven, but those who do not believe in God will not be allowed to be in God's presence or live where God lives.

(at least that is the LDS view)

Well some say this leads to a spiritual vacuum in life which will be filled with the pleasures of the senses etc. Maybe they are right. It might help to make sense of spirituality to have a specific object to attribute it to, versus not having one.
