The only place I have seen where a different time for God is discussed is here:

2 Pet 3:8

Also, the reason 3 and one half = 1260 in Revelation 12:6 is because if the calendar has 360 days, 1260 is 3 and 1/2 years exactly and 2520 is 7 years exactly.

well, I'm always a bit sceptical of "end of the world" stuff.

we survived 202, 500, 666, 1666, 1873, 1874, 1914, 1918, 1920, 1925, 1975, 2000, 2001.... so on and so forth.
I'm sure we will survive 2012 and 2036 as well.

Now as to White Buffalo Woman and the Hopi predictions... those I've seen.

its not the end of the world its the end of a system of things, 1914 was the start of the last days , the last days mean the end of a system of things is near. soon manmade goverments and rulerships will be out of business.
And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom (in 1914)that will never be brought to ruin. And the kingdom itself will not be passed on to any other people.(Jesus is the king) It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms,(manmade goverments) and it itself will stand to times indefinite daniel 2;44..... bring it on i say. at last someone who knows how to do it right.

if that is true then you just proved that a day can be a year and a week can be a year. That means that anything could be a year and messes up your whole original premise that a day = a year.

um. you didn't really answer the question. The scripture says that he will come in like manner. meaning he will come back the SAME WAY. Not invisibly, he will come down from heaven just like he went up.

Anyone around would have seen it. surely you aren't suggesting Jesus is invisible to anyone except those who were standing there are you? The scripture certainly doesn't say "ye men of Galilee and a few JW's in 1914" are going to see Him.

The scripture says that He will come back the exact same way He left. You say he isn't coming back at all. That sounds like a BIG difference to me.

Faith is stepping beyond that convention. The "Faith," on the other hand, is just another brick in the wall.

I agree with you here. "Just another brick in the wall" only inasmuch as people mistake the vehicle of faith for faith, itself. For some, the Faith is a wonderful vehicle for faith.

The angel said, "YOU," because he was speaking to the people to whom he was speaking -- not to all of humanity. It's a convention of language to only speak to whom you are speaking, and to address them as "you."

Are you trying to say that all humanity should have been crowded on the mountain for that event? Or that they had to be physically present in order for the event to have any impact upon them, or meaning for them?

However, in keeping with your vein of "logic," the "YOU" being the ones who actually witnessed the event, and who were being personally addressed by the angel, does not include any who did not personally witness the event and were not being personally addressed by the angel. In other words...any of today's JW's.
