By the way, the last time I voted, I voted for Gore, if that says anything about who I am. I've never voted for Bush and I didn't want to vote for Kerry, so I didn't bother to vote last election, and I won't be voting this election either.

I like Gore and his current global warming campaign. At least he's doing something constructive with his time.

People of high positions in history are usually characterized by their names. I realize that the average person may not fit the character of their name, but usually those of high position or prominence in scripture and throughout history, fit the character of their name.

In Saddam's case this was true.

The article does quote some bible passages, but nowhere does it say how the name "Saddam" is indicative of being the destroyer before Saddam actually did destroy. Again, the definitions given are done after the fact, and it is quite easy to make sure everything is right after the event.

I know of a couple of Michaels, and although they are my friends, none of them are people "who are like God". One Michael in particular certainly is not like God, unless God doesn't even concern himself for religion and religious ideas, imbibes large quantities of alcohol, and utters profanities without thought.

And I looked up my name, and I won't tell you the meaning, but I can certainly assure you that calling an atheist by this name demonstrates that names being indicative of a deeper meaning is simply rubbish.

As for some people having the right name, with six billion people in this world, all of different characters, I have no doubt that some might be right.

What? She chaired the Alaskan Oil and Gas commission for two years, and then quit because of the lack of ethics of some Republicans. Is this the go-getting attitude you want brought to bringing the oil companies into line?
