I just don't understand how the two could be reconciled and practiced without feeling guilt or experiencing spiritual conflict, especially for the Trinitarian...who believes that God is three persons: Father, Son and Holy Ghost. It's too conflicting, in my opinion. I would however, be incredibly interested to hear a "Christian Muslim"'s account of their religion and faith. I do believe it's possible to be both Christian and Jewish. Messianic Jews view Christ as Saviour. I'm not sure but I was under the impression that they embrace both the OT and NT of the Bible but keep to older tradition. I could be wrong...

It's pretty much a done deal as far as we're concerned. For Allah to have said khatam-e-rasul would've left room for a nabi to come. Allah said khatam-e-nabi which ends it. A rasul is a prophet that brings a book, and a nabi is a prophet that supports the one previous to him. So every rasul is a nabi, but not every nabi is a rasul. Saying nabi covers all bases whether the prophet is a rasul or not. So by our estimation if Bahaullah was a prophet and if he brought a book, then he would qualify as a rasul. Consequently as a rasul he would automatically be a nabi. However in Quran (which you say bahai's accept) Allah refers to Muhammad as the last of the nabi's. By this reasoning Bahaullah is cut out. I don't want to step on any toes, so if I offended then I apologize. Also, this is a little off topic/on topic so I won't say more on this issue so that the thread can continue.......

Thank God, prophet Mohammed warned us already about any other person who claim to be prophet after him and they were alot. If you clicked in my signature "The Last Sermon of Prophet Muhammad", you will find this passage. O People, no prophet or apostle will come after me and no new faith will be born. Reason well, therefore, O People, and understand words which I convey to you. I leave behind me two things, the Quran and my example, the Sunnah and if you follow these you will never go astray. |

Besides, Christ himself said something so final when he said "I am the way and the light, no one comes to the Father except by me" and yet we know that there was more to what he said than what was just on the surface. Right?

The same with prophet Mohammed, no one can get the light and obey God except through accepting him and his teaching. Last edited by TashaN; 12-17-2006 at 11:03 PM. |
