Default Special religious garments

Is anyone required to wear special garments in their religion? We must wear a white garment known as a tohnekka.

It's not required, but I do wear a kerchief to services. I find it's humbling, more than anything else. I think it reflects a kind of simplicity, and I like that. Quakers of old always wore bonnets, or some kind of headcovering, and some still do today.

Traditional Quaker inner bonnet.

Click here and scroll down to 'Reversible Kerchief Covering,' to see what I wear.

I think simplicity and humility are very important, in addition to purity and innocence. The tohnekka (a word that is apparently related to "tunic", but which literally means "to the neck") is shown in my avatar picture.

The intention is not to be good looking, but to show the correct degree of humility.

did you say it was made of wool?

and that may be the goal--but alot of women in modern society wear stuff like that out of fashion---i think it is rather neat that you wear it for humility, but other women would wear it to kinda "show off their assets"

They were originally made of wool, but this is not compulsary. We are required to bare our knees, in honour of Frya and Wr-alda, and this also makes sense as we have to bend them 1200 times a day.

We have to wear a necklace made from the wood of a tulsi tree called a kanthi, even a rosary sometimes. The kanthi is normally orange bu you can get black, brown, a wierd yellow and i think white as well.

No special garments, but a coffee in at least one hand is recommended.
