The Great I AM (Jesus, Moses, gospel, HaShem, choice)

There is something that I don't understand about the Abrahamic God. He is known to be the great I AM, the alpha and the omega. My understanding of this is that he is everything, has everything and lacks nothing. For a being who lacks nothing, he sure seems to have a lot of needs.

How can The Great I AM need so much from humanity? What am I missing?

I don't believe he needs Love. I don't believe he needs anything. As for free will, I believe in it, but I don't see where that comes into the argument.

According to many, God created us as free beings so that we could love him. He even created, or alloed, evil so that we had this choice. So to these people, God must need or really desire to be loved, so much so that he would create, or allow, evil, even though he is all-good.

The voice that was revealed to Moses using the phrase 'Eheieh Asher Eheieh' meaning 'I am that which I am' telling Moses to tell Bani Israel solely to call him 'I am'. In the Gospels Jesus uses the same name when questioned, he says 'I am what I am'. I have often thought that this is the name (HaShem) rather than Jahweh, which I believe is 'the word'. Then of course 'we' have Allah, and I'm fairly sure nothing within creation has claimed 'I am Allah', tho' it is said that this is exactly what The Dajjal(s) will say.

I believe that faulty, thoughtless, rhetorical attacks on theism do a disservice to naturalism. I much prefer the reasoned theist to the superficial atheist.
