A religious communism? (point of view, religions, theology)

so, i just wonder, if you guys know of any religious communist ideology?

how would you think it would work?
aren't tibetan monks communist somehow?

as with religions, i do not belong to any specific party or political group or ideology, so any of you answers is the best.

Read the Communist Manifesto by Karl Marx. That should help with the basics of communism and it explicitly addresses religion. It is also a short read, in case you have put off the assignment to the last minute. If you have more time at your disposal, I recommend Capital, Vol. 1 by Karl Marx. If you find you have even more time on your hands, I recommend the works of Michael Foucault. I'm afraid I tend more towards the theoretical than practical, so I won't be much help on the Tibetan monks query. Good luck on your paper.

oh thank you a lot. I already have read the communist manifesto( like to the half heheh, i'm slappy), and i know how they are against religious values.

However, i would like to know, if someone knows about some practice of communism where religion is involved?

Just for the record, no. (Unless they've chosen to become one, I suppose.) You may wish to research the history of Tibet and China.

they are not specifically "communist", however they believe in the man not pursuing desires and material things...isn't that kind of communism, but the kind that works? because, you won't be wanting the more?
