When you talk about something you give it power right? So why should the scientologists have to tell anybody anything about their beliefs? Everyone else is so curious about them they don't need to advertise... people will come to them BECAUSE they don't make things known. This to me is a very intelligent way to run a religion.
1) They believe in something that has been molded into a religious "category" called scientology... ok... 2) They don't advertise their beliefs.... why? Maybe to make people ask about it? (it sure has everyone here fired up) 3) They don't actively recruit members and therefore wind up alienating some people simply because they don't want to hear about it... 4) All their memberships are voluntary... people wouldn't be there if they didn't want to be, which leads one to believe that there must be something interesting going on there and they just ain't talkin! Why not?... and so back to the beginning of this post... because they don't have to... everyone else talks about it enough, and if it makes someone curious enough to attend o find out... well that's one heck of a recruiting racquet I also follow a bit older school philosophy regarding religious belief anyway... "pray from your closet and I will find you".... in other words keep your beliefs to yourself and worship in private... the organization of religion is where it all went wrong. No man or woman should have a "leadership" of a church in my opinion.... it is not theirs to lead but to follow... each to their own and all that ![]() |

They advertise, heavily. Herbal remedies, therapy, seminars, Hollywood, dianetics... It's actually a very slick marketing campaign which capitalizes on the latest trends and fads. They are sort of the Amway of religions.

![]() Harold "Hal" Puthoff from NSA and Ingo Swann from the UN enroll in Scientology, supposedly unknown to each other. Within five years they will be at the highest levels of Scientology and under secret contract with CIA to develop remote viewing for military intelligence. http://www.sc-i-r-s-ology.pair.com/r...ine/index.htmlJanuary 1971 ![]() NSA's Harold "Hal" Puthoff, one of fewer than 3,000 Scientology "Clears" in the world in 1971, has joined the ranks of a much smaller number of OT VIIs.

Hey anyscientologist!
By all means, can you share with us some personal experiences with your faith? Do you have an operating level? Can that be shared? How do you feel about the overwhelming negative press scientology receives? Have you read www.xenu.net ? What would be your response? Have you given monetarily to scientology? Is your level of learning or enlightenment tied to how much you have paid? Is Tom Cruise a positive or negative face for scientology? Thanks! Erin |
