I thought I'd start this thread as an open invitation to those who have questions about LDS beliefs.

I know there are similar threads out there, but I'd like a fresh start, especially since Kat and Jonny are no longer with us.

LDS don't pray to Joseph Smith. Though a little digging will show that while not openly taught, they do believe that Joseph Smith will be approving entry into heaven.

Thank you for your question, Tranquility.

I don't pretend to understand the mysteries of God. I'm sure He had his reasons. I encourage you to read the official declaration that allowed all worthy male members to become priests. I hope it answers your question. Here is a link:
