Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.
Could anyone look me in the eye and tell me Jesus would have supported the Iraq war? Im sure you may be able to pull some line, some quote, some phrase from the bible that would support your stance in the attack on Iraq that has thus far killed over 42,000 people (like 9/11, fifteen times over). Jesus was a peacemaker. His whole belief was to turn the other cheek, to forgive your enemies. Why do so many christians support George Bush, when he is so blatently immorral and making decisions that are in direct opposition to the ideals of christianity? Thou shall not kill. Period. |

I think Shrub wears a braclet with WWJB (Who Would Jesus Bomb?). They abhor abortions and love war. I just don't get it.

If Jesus believes that Osama is the reincarnation of Satan, and actually planned and executed 9/11, if Jesus believes that Sadam is the reincarnation of Satan, and he ordered and executed Kurds in thousands, if Jesus believe that Sadam has developed nuclear weapon with the intention of using that to wipe out God's chosen people, then may be Jesus will support the Iraq war for the grand purpose of removing a cruel and ruthless dictator, and to remove those abominable terrorists hiding in Iraq, and to give justice to the Kurds and suppressed Shiate, and to save the 6 millions in Israel. That may be possible.

Greatcalgarian, Jesus's own people were oppressed, yet he died, praying for the people that killed him.
Since when would an all powerful god want man to kill for him! To believe we need to kill for god is to follow Osama Bin Ladens ways. Wake up and read your own book!! Last edited by Sunstone; 11-02-2005 at 08:15 PM. Reason: To remove insult |

p.s. What if George Bush is the reincarnation of satan? (just as likely as any of the other evil doers that create death and destruction in this world)

Moved here because this is not a question of Christian faith. It is not a discussion because an opinion was challenged

i think Jesus was quoted as saying something like: if my kingdom was of this world, then my followers would fight. (i can't remember it exactly)
Bush's kingdom is of this world and his followers fight for him. we totally need to forgive our enemies and pray for them, but there is line that can be crossed when someone invades a country and slaughters the inhabitants.
