Theism = belief in afterlife? (reject, Deist, beliefs, Revelation, atheist)

Well, if forced to label myself, I would say that I am an agnostic theist, in that I do not know or have proof there is beyond a doubt a god, but I like to believe there is. It is not logical and has no basis for reason, I know that but I don't ask anyone else to believe as I do. I also do not know about the existence of an afterlife. As to how I live my life and my beliefs, the question of an afterlife really does not factor in. I do not believe it is possible for us to know what happens after we die until we are dead. There are theist, atheist, deist, agnostic, humanist, pantheist, panentheist UUs, and various combinations of those. I don't know why that would confuse you.

I think that if one believes in a deity, in practice, one would believe in an afterlife, although there is no logical reason to do so - per se.

What's so illogical about a God that would give us a more perfect relationship with Him?

That is correct. But they have a basis for believing that, nibbana (or nirvana). What about other atheists who are not Buddhists who believe in an afterlife? What is their basis for believing that?

I Believe in God but not an after life as say the LDS believe it to be. nor like most other Christians do. It will not be a physical existance but a spiritual one.
I believe our soul returns to God, and that thereafter we have no separate life, but a continuing life in God.
God is literally everywhere throughout space and time. There is no actual place called heaven. Heaven is being with God.

I couldn't tell ya. That seems like an oxymoron to me. but to each there own.

Hmm... I'd say that I believe in the possibility of an afterlife, but am in no way certain about it.
