Secondly, I am very curious and I can find some attractive things but also not so attractive parts in almost all religions. And what is most important I find all religions to be an expressions of basic human need for finding meaning and purpose in this world. People have a sense of transcendence and make some reasonable (theological) construction from all of it. All religions are also products of their cultural, historical and social background. I canīt just pick up one religion.
Perhaps I dont have much predispositions to be a believer, or simply donīt have the gift. What I have is wish for learning and understanding.
This.

I sometimes have this unnerving feeling that there's something... just out of reach of my understanding but I can't quite pin it down. It feels like trying to find a glass of water in the Sahara at night with sunglasses on. Only thing is, someone keeps moving it.

How do you experience something you don't quite understand? If the knowledge of god is beyond us, how is trying to understand it in human terms applicable? It's like trying to teach human logic to a cow. The cow will never understand E=mc2 or alegebra, etc.
So how is it understandable if you can't really understand it in the first place?

While I do not have doubt, I do question my beliefs on occasion. It is a normal human thing to do. Sometimes questions seem to not have answers.

Experiencing something doesn't require understanding. Being able to explain it does.

After all, how many people fully understand emotions or habitual drives?

Knowledge of God is not beyond us and cows are not our offspring. God, by the very nature of omnipotence, can communicate anything to our understanding that He sees fit so that we have the ability to successfully complete this mortal trial. There is much about God that we do not understand, mysteries and all, but such understanding is not important. The truth of what we need to know is there and each individual has to decide what they will accept as truth even if that is to say that there is no God.

There is something that most people seem to forget or at least not consider when taking such a view of the world; that is that there is an opposition to all that you would require of God in order to believe, that opposition being Lucifer. Lucifer is just as real as is God and he is allowed to stir things up and he is very good at it (he has had thousands of years to practice). To blame God because mankind is so easily led around by the nose is unfair to say the least. What good is a trial that has no obstacles to overcome and thusly demonstrate who and what you are? God, on the other hand, does not try to drag us about against our will (something that many on this forum fail to understand), but requires us to lead ourselves around by our free agency, following the path that He has illuminated for us; Don't go blaming God because you refuse to see it.

Finding answers to questions first requires you to know where they are and how to get them. It's funny but the source to the answers most people seek is the one place most people refuse to look and if they do it is often with obstinacy, seeking the answers they want to head and rejecting anything they need to hear or don't want to hear so they hear nothing and then go about claiming that there is nothing to hear to those who have been very successful at getting the answers that they want and need. No wonder people like me can get so frustrated. You ask questions then judge the answer as if you have had it all along.
