Do we define ourselves disproportionately by what we are not ?

I think that might be a matter of temperament. Some folks do it, some folks don't.

I don't define myself usually... I am not always consistant in what I do or how I act, so it would be difficult to define myself... I guess I could say that I am inconsistant.

I try not to define myself. I doubt I could fit into any definition that could please others. Also I learned that there are traits we have that we don't know about that others do. No one can see themselves in the eyes of another person.

I only know I am not, I'm not sure what I am.

I am that which I am, compared to that which I am not.
