Opening gifts early
Do you let anyone open gifts early in your house? When I was little mom would sometimes let us open one gift early just to keep us from going insane.

My sister sent a box of presents to my kids and my kids want to open it now. I decided to be strict mom and say "wait until Christmas". My son informed me he does not like to be surprised, so I should let him open his now. I said no way. We had to hide the box.
We wait until Christmas to open ours.

I have been playing with my Christmas present for about a month now. My Nintendo DS that cardero bought for me along with my Animal Crossing game. cardero and I usually give gifts not on a special holiday. Like our Wii system. It's a Christmas present to ourselves. I should put it back in the box and wrap it. Maybe we will have something to open for Christmas.
 cardero is not really into Christmas like I am.

when i swap presents with friends at uni, we open them over our Christmas meal which is about a week before Christmas, just before we all go home. other than that, we open all of ours on Christmas day.

Only gifts from my friends at school. Normally open them on Christmas eve when there is normally a big party. But everything else I open on Christmas.
One thing for people who's parents are split up. Do you have two Christmases or do you go to the other parents house later in the day?
