I need to gripe a little, and hopefully some of you can commiserate with me....
Have you ever had a hairdresser that tried to fix your hair, and just made it worse? I've had curly hair for years, but this year as a gift I went and got the Japanese straightening. Well, once wasn't enough. After the second treatment, I asked him to cut my hair short for the summer. A few days later after I could wash out my hair, it looked like there was still some curl left, since the hair flipped up on the ends. I went to see my hairdreser about it yesterday, and he said that the cut was just uneven (it was layered, so the flipping looked a little funny). Well, he tried to make the cut even, but it didn't work too well. And the worst part is that cutting it didn't flatten out the flip. So, he takes a texturizer and things out my fantastic head of thick hair. How do I go about telling him that I am once again unhappy with his work, and then go about finding a new hairdresser?! Has anyone else ever gotten a haircut this bad?

It usually takes someone a few times to know my head but once I find someone who consistantly provides a great cut, I am very loyal. Personally, I good hairdresser for me depends on how well my hair grows back in. I understand that these standards of what makes a good hairdresser good differs from person to person. There is a salon that I frequently patronize called CLIPPERS in Walden and the owners Tammie and Dawn are very experienced at doing both males and females and are very concerned and professional about what the customer wants to achieve with their hair. My cousin Michelle just started working there and you can tell her I sent you. PM me for phone number if interested.

Sometimes I Hate Being a Woman
Yes. Getting my hair cut used to be trauma. I have finally given up on expensive cuts and pay $12.95 plus tip at Fatnastic Sams. I've gotten four good haircuts for the price of one at the price I used to pay and I am very happy. My hair grows out quick and I have learned to fix most small mistakes the stylists make. I am much happier. ![]()
