Default MIT courses for FREE--online

Actual MIT courses, to include lectures (through audio/video/Podcast) are available online, along with reading requirement lists, homework assignments, and more...

It's MIT's new OpenCourseWare which is available to everyone now through the internet.

Course studies available in the following categories:
Aeronautics and Astronautics

Athletics, Physical Education and Recreation
Biological Engineering

Chemical Engineering
Chemistry
Civil and Environmental Engineering
Comparative Media Studies
Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences
Economics
Electrical Engineering and Computer Science
Engineering Systems Division
Experimental Study Group
Foreign Languages and Literatures
Health Sciences and Technology
History
Linguistics and Philosophy
Literature
Materials Science and Engineering
Mathematics

Media Arts and Sciences

I have already downloaded one of their classes on A.I. in the Computer Science courses. I discovered that the reading lists are linked to amazon.com. A person must buy certain books for themselves. However, the online classes do offer the lecture notes, pages of what appears like textbooks (IF YOU DOWNLOAD THE COURSE in a .zip file), homework assignments, tests, and more.

Wow! That's quite cool! Right now I'm too busy with my studies in "real life" to start an online course, but it would be nice to try it sometime. What I'd really love is a graphics design course... it would be so awesome to study it...

My only problem with on-line courses is the need for self discipline; I find it extremely hard to make the time to study.

I guess that would be VERY true for me, since I'm rather lazy when it comes to studying But maybe if a course was really interesting, I wouldn't have problems with that...
