What has been your experience with Mormons in your lifetime?
Have you ever been a member of the LDS Church? Taken missionary discussions? Attend Church with a member or even an LDS function? What if your general consensus on your personal experience with the Church as whole, members and indiviuals? |

All of the LDS members I've met were on here. And you're all so nice

I've met a bunch in real life and they've all been as absolutely nice as possible.
Plus Becks, you're LDS, could there POSSIBLY be anything bad to say about them if you're one? I don't think so.

My eldest sister was a member of the LDS for about 10 years and I attended a couple of church functions with her. I always found the people warm and quite charming. In latter years my interaction with Mormons has been only on the net and occaisionally with young missionaries and their freshly scrubbed faces and boundless idealism.
Another interesting note: While attending festivities at the local church I was never coerced or set upon to become a member. No pressure whatsoever. I liked that.

![]() I saw that you checked "taken discussions from missionaries", what was your impression of those discussions and the missionaries? |

Do you think this non-coercesion (is that even a word?) sets the LDS Church/members apart from other Christian denominations? What sort of 'festivities' did you attend? |

I have been LDS all my life, but neither of my parents were. My mom converted in her 20's and my dad converted and left the church. He still likes mormons and invites the missionaries into his home regularly, but I know he has ill feelings toward the doctrine and way of life that we try to uphold. To me, the LDS people are the same everywhere, same standards and values and always friendly and christ-like.

I haven't had any personal experience with Mormons though there's sometimes a couple of Mormon missionaries downtown.
