I'd rather have been a Pheonician, on top of being seafaring explorers, they were traders. Sea the world, and make some moolah while you're at it!
That and I like ships.

Babylon. Great creation myths. Cool Gods and Goddesses. Hanging gardens (one of the seven wonders). Scientifically advanced for the time. All that good stuff.

OK, after careful consideration, I'd like to be a Babylonian king, possibly Assurbanipal or Sennacherib - whichever one lived the longest. I don't want to go out to sea in the second millenium BCE, and I don't want to scratch a living off rocks in Canaan.
Give me the palaces and the harem, and the awesome wealth of Babylon!
