I need help finding a reference (ritual, America, marriage, faith)

I am looking for information pertaining several aspect of Marriage in the Jewish faith.

I need to know information about choosing a partner, the marriage ritual, and MOST IMPORTANTLY the roles of men and women in a marriage (i.e.-who is repsonsible for which duties)

Problem is that i need something that is extremely credible. No wikipedia or stuff like that. It has to come from some offical Jewish source but I don't know very much about Judaism to know what is official.

Can any of you help?

Do you mean ancient or modern Jewish practice? If so, what time period?

Do you have access to a library?

You can probably try to google "Jewish wedding" and then check out the organization from which it is from. I don't know much about which is authentic either (I'm not even Jewish but don't tell anybody...shhh) I googled "Jewish Wedding" just now and an article from http://www.jewish-history.com/minhag.htm seems to be authentic. I see it is from - Jewish-American History Documentation Foundation, Inc.
