I've really surprised myself, managing to remember Julia Roberts; I loved the film in which she was a high power exec and was left a baby in a will - I couldnt tell you the name of the film...

Sigourney Weaver is good too, the Alien movies (except the third) were really good.

I think Robert Duvall is one of the all-time great character actors. He can play almost any role, and is totally believable in it. I would also put Robert DeNiro in this category.

i dont really have any. there have been too many crappy movies with terrible actors these days that i havent seen a truly good movie in a while. well, last night i saw Sin City. it was pretty funny to me. there were some good actors in there like bruce willis.

Best I recall, the 1998 version of Lolita had Frank Langella, Jeremy Irons, & Dominique Swain and never made it to US theatres because of the subject. IIRC, it premiered on Showtime.
I'm not a real big movie buff, but I'd like to nominate Tom Hanks for his versatility across many types of roles.
