Nope, I started out life as an athiest like everyobody, then I was raised Catholic. I started having doubts when I was pretty young, around 10 and looked into other religions, especially buddhism. I stopped thinking about religion for a while and just sort of assumed that God was real until I met my girlfriend. I went to church a few times with her and then joined a Bible study at my dorm in college. I was 'saved' once as a Baptist but I still had some unresolved issues that took me back to atheism and then I came back to Christianity again later, but left for my current atheist worldview

Well that would be nice, but I don't know enough about it to make an educated guess. Scientific advances aren't necessarily smooth and easy to predict, they come in spurts whenever someone has an idea that just clicks right.
