Lately I've been having recurring dreams about being in the car with a friend, and them running a red light/stop sign/not paying at a toll booth and having policemen chase us. It's pretty scary when it's happening.

Last night I dreamt that an ex-gf was a retired Mary Poppins (there was nothing left for her to do) and was sitting outside on the stairs by the door of a house I was living in with huge windows. There were lots of impossibly silvery streams moving around and going down to the sea in the dark Cornish landscape she was watching. She kept sighing and pulling black feathers out of a hat in the lap, but it wasn't a hat but a relaxed but bemused looking cat. It kept looking at her (she didn't see it) then me as if to say, "Eh? What's she doing?" She wouldn't come in because I had a huge panther prowling around in the hall, but I thought they would probably get on if she did come in.

Dreamed I was throwing up, explainable by my newfound fear of the stomach flu!

One time (I was ten at the time) and I dreamt that I was 16 and a clown had stole the family van. So, I decided to get it back (the clown was just driving in circles in the Safeway Parking lot), so I took our van to try to get the van back. It was weird. |

I actually try to keep a dream log.... here is last night's:
I am in my "early teens". My father and I are in a pickup truck and we are going somewhere. It is like we are going on a hunting trip, but really we are just going somewhere to do something together. We had heard about this place to go that is only reached by this road high up in the mountains. We set out in the pickup truck. The road is paved as we set up on the mountain. The road becomes grass the higher up we get. I starts to become steep, less "seeable", and curvy the higher we get. Close to the top my father says, " I wonder why we haven't seen any wild life yet" I sit and wonder the same thing. Suddenly I point out a deer to the left. Then he points out a herd up on the side of the mountain. Then we see two antelope.... then two more. More deer, more antelope. The grass in these places are very green and we wonder why antelope shoule be so high up and in such green conditions. Finally we come up the place of the rocks. This is where we know we should look for the hidden "red road". We stop often and look for the "signs" that have been told to us to find the path that we seek. On and on it goes. We come upon the rock of the "Evil Anemnity Maggotts". We look at the rock knowing what it is (I should wish to describe it, but that would take to long and this dream is already) We know we are at the point of turning in some direction and we discuss what way to go. There is a small path up the mountain, but the truck would not fit. Turning back was discussed, but we had come so far already. Finally, we saw it was good to go down from here and we set off between the rock down the side of the mountain that we hadn't begun from. We get near the bottom and come upon a rail road track. The rails are down, but the train has not yet come. I get out of the truck for something, but I do not recall. There are a few houses and I don't recall the name on the sign of the stop where we were. There is an old man that I go over to talk to, but I don't recall the conversation. I was trying to help him in some way and ended up trying to get something for him. I end up knocking over a hornets nest in a pine tree. The hornets are chasing me and I run from them. The train is passing now and I can see that some of the passing cars are open and empty. I think that this should be the best way to escape the hornets and run close to the track. (I am on the far side of the track from where I started). Suddenly there are some cement blocks by the track and I know it is my chance to be able to jump in one of the cars to escape the hornets. I see an open car coming and tmie it so that I can climb a three stack block and jump into a car. I do so and am relieved to finally be out running the hornets. I rest in the car. After much time, the train begins to slow down. I look out the other side of the box-car, though those doors weren't the ones open when I jumped into the car. I see a few houses and many people standing around. When the car stops I can see some people with rifles in sherriffs uniforms. They are pointing the rifles at the cars and searching the open door one by one as the people watch. I remain still as my car is fastly approaching. I disguise my feet in some hay as a "small girl" and leave my torso exposed. The sheriff's get to my car and ask if I am married. My feet obviously can't answer and I answered "NO". At this point, I am about 8 years old (give or take). They tell me to get out of the car and I do. A man who seemed important said that the (something I forget family) is next since their other son had died recently. A man and a woman are so happy and come to take me. They explain that I will be their son now and am to live with them. The train moves on as I walk to the house with them. When I get to the house, there is a younger boy and an even younger girl. (My brother and sister). We spend some time in the house and then head out to some sort of festival that this "village" has. My new "father" gives me this thing. I so wish I could recall what it was named. It was some sort of device. It was in two connected pieces with lions hair coming from each end. The middle was joined by some sort of "chain". It was like two kubatons joined in the middle with a key ring and yellow lion's hair coming out the far ends. We are in some sort of arena and we fight. This "thing" can extend into a staff or pole and also can yeild swinging chains with balls on the end. We fight for some time, though it isn't fighting. When we are done, every one agrees that I am a natural with this thing. The "father" tells me it was "Grand-dad's" and that it is mine now. We stop doing our "fighting show" and travel about the festival. At this point I am older. (late teens perhaps, but still young durring some of it). We are back at the house and something happens with my brother and sister. I think a few friends (neighbors) were there as well, but I can't remember what. I just remember trying to run away. I head for the tracks when the next train comes. The sherriff is there and we fight, but I manage to get in an open car safely. The train travelled quite some time. Finally it slowed down and I jumped out at a town that started with a "J". It was by a lake and all the people were hippies. Nobody wanted to talk to me since they didn't like "outsiders". I finally find one man who will talk to me since I recalled one of the places used to be called something else. (I don't recall the two names now- something to do with a star). Once I remembered the name the place used to be called and told him something about the lake, he told me I could stay there if I chose.... but that I should go home. I woke up then. Weird huh? Riddle me that Bat-Man!!!
