I hate lip gloss for it's gooey-ness as well. I don't like any makeup I'm wearing to transfer onto anything else and lip gloss is extra-annoying since I'm a smoker.

For me, it's always au natural. (Makeup wise, at least. I don't want to spread widespread panic by the other option!) I've never been in the habit of putting the stuff on. When I remember, I usually stick to lipstick. I'd like to use mascara, but I usually mess it up and just wash it off.

The one thing that I find a joy to wear is glitter! I wish I could think of more excuses to be able to wear it, because it brings out the 'butterfly' side of my spirit!

Wow. You're a braver woman than I. I have no patience for that kind of stuff. I get antsy at the nail salon. lol

Thank you for the tips ZombieH. Yes, I have found I get the most use out of my browns and pinks. I have a fair complexion with moderate to high freckle frequency, brown hair, blue eyes. I'm starting to need foundation for a more 'finished' look these days, mid-forties, and funny when I bought some for the first time not too long ago the woman at the department store make-up counter (Clinique) tod me what she picked for me will take the 'red' tones out for me. I was helpless, so I trusted her. It does look fine but I don't like wearing it.

I just started wearing mascara on occasion. Like someone above said I tended in the past to put too much on, but now I've found that a just a very little really is nice. I don't think I would ever have the patience for fake eyelashes.

Glitter was one of the choices! But I guess it's more of a special occasion item...
