PORTLAND, Ore. - An Oregon man who went to a hospital complaining of a headache was found to have 12 nails embedded in his skull from a suicide attempt with a nail gun, doctors say.

There was a similar case that got an honorable mention in the 2001 Darwin awards.
Young man goes to house to install drywall in basement.
Young man proceeds to not pay attention to what he's doing and cuts his hand off at the wrist with a power saw.
Rather than seeking help, he attempts to put himself out of his misery by shooting himself repeatedly in the head with a nail gun. The homeowners dog eventually found him whimpering in the corner and the severed hand was reattached and nails removed.
Nail guns...handy things, but obviously not much chop for killing yourself with.

Well, THAT was a bright thing to do. Next time use the industrial nails dumb dumb. Who DOES this stuff? And why do I think he's only going to end up back in the loony bin for some other hairbrained, or nailbrained as the case may be, idea on drugs?

I wonder if the movie "Lethel Weapon", it was either 1 or 2, had anything to do with the thought that a nail gun can kill? But then again, if there is not much brain in the skull to begin with....
