What have you got out of RF? (ritual, beliefs, choice)

As most of us know RF is a website that promotes religious education and tolerance. if tis is the point, to be "educated" religioussly, then please explain how you have. I'm sure we all have gotten some knowledge out of RF. what's yours?

I wish I could say the same; (learning experience) The trouble is my memory is absolutely useless; I guess that at some stage what I read will begin to sink in, but it feels like it will take forever.

I suppose the greatest thing I have got from RF is meeting such wonderful people, and feeling part of a 'thinking family'; it is not something I have ever experienced before, and I value it greatly.

I like to study about all Religions, like a scientists testing for truths, and sharing the findings. RF gives me the opportunity to interact not only with people of different religion, but also from around the world. Also, I have not been able to find a church that fulfills my spiritual needs, and used to be lacking in fellowship, that is no longer the case.


Oh, yeah, and frubals, can't get them anywhere else.

I really enjoy the process of debating and discussing because it helps me work the kinks out of my personal beliefs and strengthens my faith. I love listening to other peoples ideas and opinions and evaluating if they have any truth for me. I love the constant challenge of political ideas, because sometimes people make points that completely change my stance... My debates with a Mormon are responsible for switching from pro-choice to pro-life.

I enjoy asking questions that make people think, and then thinking about them. That floats my boat more than that damn cranberry!!!!

I've learned that I was not the only one in my religion. I've learned that (well, I did think this for a LONG time... but I never had others who viewed it quite the same way) all religions are based off one source. (now, if you dont agree, keep it to yourself, this is my personal revelation, so back off! )

You all have kept me from murdering someone at my school. Feel proud. It was so lovely to gain a change of perspective, and you all continue to keep me thinking, so I thank you. I guess I tend to get more out of discussion than debate.

Well anyway, RF has given me the oppertunity to express all sides of myself, and hopefully the tools to be a better person along the way....
