OR, in other words, threads we NEVER want started! What topics intrigue you? Maybe we can get ideas for new threads......! ![]() Major Yawner for me.... Conversations about how a car engine works...Every time I am stuck listening to someone explain a how a car engine works I say to myself, "Lord, please get me out of this conversation and I will DO ANYTHING for you, I swear! ![]() Intriguing for me....... Quantum Physics and the origin of the universe....I may not understand half of it...but it's interesting and gives me good brain freezes trying to read thru it! ![]() Anyway, you get the idea. So, how about you? What subjects bore you to tears and what subjects make your ears wake up?? |

I have to agree with you about conversations about car engines, honey. Or cars in general, really. Cars bore me to tears. Maybe my interest will be piqued after that antiquated piece of trash that is the internal combustion engine is done away with for good.
A topic that always intrigues me is animals. Be it discussions about a new animal discovered or just about individuals' observations of animals in their area, discussion about the lives of animals never cease to interest me.

I can't stand talking about cars and sports butI love talking about physics, music and specific areas of philosophy such as theories on knowledge, religion and maths. The social impact of religion is also very interesting to me eg the effect of faith on society, law making etc.

I can usually find something of interest, even in the most mundane subjects.

I'm interested in any discussion that generally illuminates "human nature". I'm not much interested in "small talk" or in technicalities.
