We had so many people we thought were doing things. There was this one guy, he walked around the block every day for excercise about 30 times(I'm not kidding you, besides we had a small block). He would never smile, talk, and he would speed-walk. It was sort of creepy. His house was behind really tall pine trees and I convinced myself that he was a child molester (and he also never gave out Halloween Candy or anything, and his light were NEVER on). There was another house, we never saw anybody go in or out and in one of the windows there was a fake hand with blood on it. We convinced my little brother that they were murderers and they murdered someone and buried them in the ditch, then one day we pushed him in the ditch(about 1 foot tall). He started screaming, so we left him there. I got in trouble for that. Then, my one friend tried to convince me that this one elderly lady on the block was a husband killer--never bought it. I always would try to convince my siblings I was a werewolf, and when they were younger they would believe it--and I got in trouble. |

Ha ha. Becky you reminded me of another one.
On this one street right by my elementary school, there was a house with all the windows boarded up. Of course, being the rational children that we were, we thought that the man who lived there was afraid of aliens. |

Oh man, the thing about blood reminded me of the monkey bars at my elementary school... they had a little plaque thing that said "In memorial of (name)", and a friend and I convinced ourselves that the guy who it was in memorial to was buried there and died because he fell off the monkey bars. We got sticks and dug at the ground... and freaked out when we saw red stuff in the dirt. (For those not from Georgia, we have lots of red clay in our soil)

Ha ha. Jensa, somehow your story reminded me of something else from when I was in elementary school. One place we would always take a field trip to at least once a year was this forest about twenty to thirty minutes away called the School Forest. Our teachers told us that one time a kid named Gomer was taken out there and got lost and had candy with him and whatever candy wrappers are out there are his. We also were told we should pick them up. Methinks that they just made that entire story up just to make us pick up garbage more willingly and not even to entertain us in the least.

I also used to think there was a monster living in the room next to the bathroom with the Skyhooks poster on the door. The noises I heard were probably rats, though.

All this talk of digging in the ground reminded me of something else. We moved towns when I was about 7, and went from living in suburbia to living in the middle of nowhere on a farm. Well, I went "exploring" in the bush one day and dug up these old badges/pins. I'm not sure what they actually were - they looked to my 7-year-old self to be "Army-ish". Anyway, I was convinced that if I dug deep enough that I'd find a series of underground tunnels leading to a bunker. *sigh* Never did, though.

i thought that buddha was a jewish guy with a huge butt who traveled around the desert 100 years ago (no offence to buddhists, i was just a kid )i thought that i was going to marry my mom when i got older i thought that my parents physical appearence would never change i thought that one day i would wake up with hair down to my shoulders i thought that sharks would come up out of the bath-tub drain and eat me

The only thing I can really remember, besides knowing I was picked on alot when I was young and I have repressed almost all of my school years up to around high school, is I used to think everyone was Christian, and everyone believed in God, and that was the only religion. Another thing I remember, and I think it was a sunday school teacher that got me thinking this, is that only "bad people" are athiest.
