Hi.
It's me...your friendly neighborhood dawny0826. So, what are you really passionate about when it comes to politics and social issues? What issues (politically and socially) really get you fired up (in either a good or a not so good way)?

I'm passionate about soul winning. Not to toot my own horn, but I'm also pretty good at it. If anyone would like to know how to lead their lost loved ones to Christ, I'd be happy to give you some ideas, techniques, pointers, etc. |

What issues don't I get passionate about?
Against abortion - In case you haven't guessed. Sexuality is sacred, and should be treated with respect. I see abortion as trying to dodge responsibility and murder, save to protect the life of the mother. Then it is self-defense. Support GBLT rights - Secular rights. Religious rights depend on the individual churches to grant. Support the separation of church and state Against censorship - except in the home. Support freedom of speech - with few exceptions. Support the military - this is different from supporting the politics that guide it... Support the family - The home is sacred. Couples should love, communicate, preserve honesty, be faithful and treat each other with respect. Parents should love, protect and get involved in their children's lives. Child abuse and neglect and domestic violence should never be tolerated and all punishments should be a lot worse. Divorce should be a rarity. ... |

I used to be very argumentative about abortion... on both sides, in fact, because I'm such a devil's advocate. But... I became bored.
![]() I'm still engaged in energy preservation and more efficient and environmental ways of producing such energy, such as wind turbines and solar turbines. I think that the United States should be investing more money into alternative energy. Wind turbines have great potential, as seen in Denmark. New, amazing technologies will certainly help, such as floating wind turbines that float in the jet stream, which were recently invented. Solar panels are also becoming more efficient. ![]() As you can probably tell from my signature, I'm also engaged in the poverty problem, specifically in Africa. I do what little I can to help, which basically extends only as far as clicking everyday at TheHungerSite and keeping up with One.org. Also, I occasionally buy some supportive bracelets from each organization and give them to friends to increase awareness.

The fate of the indigenous people of the world concerns me. Those in Chiapas (and the Americas in general), West Papua, the Niger Delta, Palestine etc.

It's not so good to the extent that I get so ****** off that I get surly and a bit of tunnel-vision. I find that if I spend a lot of time confronting bigotry I start to only see what's wrong with the world and with people, instead of being able to appreciate the good too. That's happening right now, actually. Too much ignorance and hatred, too much. ![]()
