I hate to giggle but this has happened to my girls and myself so many times...

Try peanut butter...the oil should break the gum up a bit.

If that doesn't work...put ice to it...if you can get it cold enough...you can chip away at it.

I shouldn't laugh, but I've done it myself, and one time, my friend, who had the finest(like in fine, thin) hair, red hair too(prettiest red I've ever seen), was blowing a bubble and it got as big as her face and I went up to her and popped it. Ohh, she was so mad at me.

Peanut butter did work, kind of. There's little bits still in the hair, and it was painful combing it out, but for the most part, it's gone.
