My beautiful baby girl is turning 18 on the 28th of this month and we were thinking of driving to Montreal Quebec for the weekend. Can anyone give me some ideas on hotels and hot spots. She wants to tie one on real good!

You're seriously thinking of coming to Montreal?? That's awesome!
There are a bunch of great hotels out here. The Mariott is beautiful, the Montreal Maritime (which I was at this past weekend), the Best Western Europa.. It depends on what your price range is. You should be able to look them all up on the net. As for bars and stuff, I can give you tons of names of great bars. It all depends on what she's looking for. A Dance club? Alternative? Punk, Goth, etc.

Yeah, Montreal is only about a five hour drive from me. Woo hoo!
Well I would love to say that money is no object but......I'd like something that's up there a wee bit. Afterall, she is eighteen! I want this to be a weekend she'll never forget! She's a dancer C_1, but she's also into a variety of music, so maybe we could tour around from one bar to the next. This is gonna be so much fun! ![]()

Alright, well I'll look up some hotels around here for you and send you the links.
As for clubs: There's a myriad of dance clubs down on Crescent Street, chances are she'll be able to find one to her liking down there. Also on Crescent is a bar that I go to often, called Mad Hatters. They don't have a dance floor and it's kind of a hole in the wall, but it's always really packed and they play great alternative music there. There's Foufounes Electriques on St. Catherine. They have a big dance floor there and they play tons of different music. That's the bar where all the scene kids hang out (On Thursdays, the Emo kids go, on Wednesdays, the Skater kids, Saturdays, the metal heads and Fridays, usually the Punk kids). It's also the bar that everyone goes to after there's a concert in town, (I've met more than a few bands there). Cheers on MacKay street, right off St. Catherine is another big dance club (and one that I tend to steer clear of, NOT just because I hate dance clubs, lol, but because the guys there stalk the dance floor and get kind of grabby with the girls that go on it). There's the Playhouse on Parc street, which is another bar I frequent. The DJ is the lead singer of a local Rockabilly band called the Gutter Demons, so he tends to play a lot of Rockabilly and Psychobilly. Uh... Saphir on St. Laurent has punk nights and goth nights.. Anyway, the point? You give me a musical taste and I can show you a bar around here, hahaha.
