What types of music do you like?
What types of music do you like?
Vote for your favourite types (please, don't choose too many, at most 3), and then post your favourite artists! I'm probably an oddity, as I like classical, new age, and punk/metal (not the kind where the guys just screaming and you can't even tell what language he's speaking). I like Mozart, Enya, Disturbed, Rhapsody, Propaghandi, and Beethoven. And many other classical composers, too many to list. What about you guys?

Classical, Techno and Rap are my favorites, but I will listen to pretty much anything.
I like pretty much any techno that gets energy going. Mozart, Bach, Beethoven ect. Pac, Biggie, Eminem, Bone thugs, most of the older no limit.

(Hate to bump such an old topic... but I was gonna post a new one, but since there is one already...)
I voted techno and other. I <3 techno. Ever since I was introduced to it by Eiffel 65, 6 years ago, I've been infatuated with it. I've adapted over to mainly trance though, as a lot of the techno recently has become cookie-cutterish and too 'cluttered.' My favorite artist, by far, is Gigi D'Agostino. After that comes Scooter, and then DJ GT. Although I like most any techno/trance music. The 'other' part would be, every other genra (wow, that word was very hard for me to figure out how to spell...). Although my favored genra's would be Video Game Music (a lot of it is very technoish I'd say), certain rap (Eminem, Dre, DMX, and Outkast), and rock. Favorite rock band of all time, and favorite band of all time, is in my sig.  There's so many good songs out there though... it is not possible to list every single one. But props to Offspring, AFI, Bad Religion, Buffet, Beatles, and every one hit wonder song in existance! My name is meogi, and I am a music addict.

Laughing at myself -
Just to show you how old I am, I thought Rap and Hip-Hop were the same thing. I chose Classical, Rock, and Oldies. I love music also Meogi. You left out several categories such as Bluegrass, Country, and Western Swing. I listen to all types of music (one of my favorites sounds is the classical Japanese music (played mostly on strings). It is so light that it almost sounds like wind chimes to me. TVOR

I've always liked rock...I grew up with it (Rolling Stones, Red Hot Chili Peppers, etc...). I started listening to punk/alternative music when i was around 12 (Bikini Kill, Le Tigre, Operation Ivy, etc...), and techno relatively recently since I started dating my boyfriend who's been into it for over 10 years (Infected Mushroom, goa DJ's)

Engyo, I second that excalmation!
I'm a classic rock kinda girl. My favs are Led Zeppelin and Aerosmith...but I'd be a fool to put all my money on just one of them--there's so much other good stuff too. I'm kinda picky about my generation's music. I can get into rap, but only when I'm in the mood for it I think. John Mayer, Jet, Offspring, Maroon5, and Bush are some of my favorite modern bands.
