Just as a general heads-up, ribbons are bought with coins, not frubals. You can give out frubals all day and never lose a coin! (See more in this article, if you wish!) (But don't be too suprised if you look amongst your 'change' and find enough for a ribbon!)

I give frubals because I love most everyone here and I love frubals!

I give frubals for something well stated;or something I agree with; or just as a simple thank you to someone who has done something nice. I think they are mostly used as positive reinforcement...or perhaps they were meant to be?

Nope. Although frubals give you coins, other than this they appear to be unrelated. Appear to be.

Well, obviously you have to have another way of deciding who to frubal (unless of course you give them out to the first 13 posts you see each morning).

Nope! (As ChrisP beat me to it! ) The coins don't have any tie with the frubals, except that they are based on some of the same things. (You get coins for posting, you are able to give more frubals (I should say that the frubal-points will be higher, or, as it's also known 'reputation altering power.' The number of frubals you can give in a day will remain the same) with the more posts you have, that kind of thing.)

True, but my fingers were tired, and I'm lazy. But the other still applies, too!

I'll steal Mr. C's excellent idea of presentation...

I like to give frubals to people I disagree with. When they present their viewpoint in a respectful manner, and are willing to listen to my viewpoint in turn, I admire them.

I like to give frubals to people who've given me a chuckle.

I like to give frubals to posts that radiate kindness, love and compassion.

I like to give frubals to posts that explain things in a way I can understand, so I can better approach the world.
