How many of you have personaly witnessed a miracle and if you have, would you feel comfortable telling your story. If you decide to share could you before posting your story, define loosely what qualifies as a mircle in your book. I ask because the qualifications may be subjective and it would help other readers to know where you are coming from. Also, I put this in the discussion section for two reasons:
1) I figure personal revelations and witness of miracles are not very debatable. People will believe you or they will not but the information very often cannot be verified or discredited. 2) I realize some of the stories, if posted are going to be very personal and i don't want the posters to feel this miracle is going into a "shark tank" of debators that are going to hack at its validity. |

A miracle in my book? Anything in a supernatural sense, or should I say anything that comes from God. Which for me would be everything. Every little thing in this world is a miracle for me. God has made everything for us and given everything to us.

I would define a miracle as something that is not possible under ordinary laws of science, OR something that bounces off the reality of our sense perception. Like Michel, I am somewhat loathed to use the term "supernatural" and prefer the term, "non-ordinary reality".
Have I witnessed miracles? Yes and no. Yes in the respect that I have encountered things I could not explain. But no, simply because I have enlarged my viewpoints to include "non-ordinary" events. Therefore they are miraculous no more, and simply are an interesting part of experience. And no, I am not especially into the "miraculous" healing thing. I tend to stick with science for my 3D references.

I would argue there is a science behind miracles, we just aren't aware of it.

I wonder why I`ve never heard of a "healing miracle" for an amputee?
Why can`t God grow a limb back? Because you can`t fake growing a limb back. ![]()

I would like to post about two miracles. One very strange one happened to me and the other happened to my mother when she was a young child. But in the past when I have shared them with others I found that it was, for the most part, a wasted effort. It's not that I mind people thinking I'm some kind of a nut, but to have the miracles bashed by those who were not there is almost more than I can endure.

Although there is a current situation in lives of my family that we're super excited about...whether you consider it miraculous or not...I still want to share... (And be forewarned...I know I can't spell.... My cousin has been battling with an incredibly agressive form of leuhkemia. She's went through three rounds of chemo, only to have to go back to ground zero, as the treatment near totalled her immune system and red blood cells. So, she had to start a new treatment...she was told that her chances of survival were slim and that her doctor guestimated about six months to live. The first treatment went well but then she became very ill with several viruses and pneumonia. Her red and white blood counts were real whacked and we thought we were going to lose her. But here she is...beating this thing...she's recooperating...her blood work came back today...her immune system is comparable to a healthy cancer-free adult...her red and white blood cell counts look great and she's out and about...really living her life. She's hoping that with the next round of treatment...her immune system will remain healthy....we're really praying and believing for healing. Her Faith is unbelievable. When her doctor told her that she had six months to live...she looked at him and said "That's not what My God told me."

I have never witnessed a miracle, such as an organic miracle, like the blind seeing, an ear being re-attached, a leper made whole, the dead brought back to life, a lame man who's legs are shriveled made whole and able to walk, no miracles like Jesus and the Apostles were able to perform. I believe those were signs so people would know they were telling the truth about Christ, and have since ceased. I believe God does miracles in peoples lives and that he can perform miracles, that life is a miracle, that his angels have charge over us to minister to us, but I do not believe in faith healers.

In the entire history of miracles, no documented case of an amputee spontaneously growing a limb back have ever occured. Anyone hear doubt that those amputees were praying for their limbs back with all their heart? So if God is ever going to answer a prayer, shouldn't it be the prayers of a poor schmo with no legs praying for them to grow back? Of course it should. Which means that either God doesn't answer prayers, or growing a limb back is beyond his powers, or (most likely) there is no god to answer prayers, or finally, it could be that god just hates amputees and is punishing them.
