I think this paints a pretty interesting pattern. Notice the percentages. Half of the respondents indicate abnormal sleep patterns. Now that, I find fascinating.

I rarely sleep. But I meditate alot.
![]() Seriously, because of my work in the spirit world, I hardly sleep. But when I get to sleep, I sleep into the day, so it seems like I sleep alot. But I think the most sleep I have gotten in the past year was 5 hours. And even when I do sleep, I wake up ALOT. So I chose, "Sleep, what's sleep?"

I avoid sleep because i'm afraid i'll miss something important (in any/all cases). When I get overwhelmed with stressful things (homework, issues, mom) I dont let myself sleep, but i dont do anything to help my situations... so i put myself in some pretty bad situations... oh well, i should start getting ready for bed now... but i doubt i will (math homework piled up again) *sigh*

Is, " not enough " sufficient?
Usually between 2 and 4, but I usually have 1 day a week where I sleep between 12 and 16 to make up for it. Quote:

With medication, I sleep for four to six hours which is just perfect for me; I never feel overly tired. Without medication, I can go to either extreme of going days without sleep or sleeping for twenty plus hours, waking up just long enough to eat something, and then going straight back to sleep.

About 5 hours a night, sometimes less.

When I don't have to do anything in the mornings and stuff, and I can actually let my body's sleep rhythms take over, I tend to sleep about 10 hours a night. It's quite a bit, but no matter how late I stayed up the night before, it always hovers right around 10. When I have to wake up the morning (usually around 6 nowadays), I try to at least get 8 hours, which means going to bed at 9 or 9:30, since I take forever to fall asleep.

well, right now, when im sleeping im getting between 8 and 10 hours of sleep. i do sometimes only get 3-5 and wake up on my own and am good for the next day. i have currently been awake for the past 35 hours, got a little tired for about 5 minutes around 12 hours ago, but have been wide awake before and since then. i am noticing reduced motor-functions and reaction times, my concentration is dwindling, but my thoughts come more freely.
it isnt very uncommon for me to stay awake for 24-28 hours at a time, but past that are rare, and have only happened a handful of times. my longest period of being awake has been 48 hours, and then i slept for 22 hours, which is the longest amount of time i have ever slept. should mention i was drunk when i went to bed that time. i am normally a day time sleeper, but every now and then my body gets confused and changes its desires every 12 hours as to when i should actually sleep. Well, it looks like the traditional 8 hours a night approach is out the window for many of us.
Yes, MV, I hear ya. I have often why I simply don't get tired LOL. *sigh* I do think we need some "down time" though, however slight. Interesting how the numbers are back to more of where I expected them now. Looks like the night owls got in of the thread first. Now there's a surprise hehe.
