All posters but two posted about personal events that were the highlights; I was feeling guilty, because I was going in with a personal one too; I guess I feel beter now!
My highlights were the strides my son James has made during the year, and I guess his brother's as well.........it's great to see your kids getting their act together....... ![]()

I think this was the first year that I completely surrendered myself, spiritually and it's changed everything.
2005 was also a precious year with my family...watching my youngest go through her first full year of life...watching my four year old, officially graduate from "baby girl" to "little diva" (flick a tear). And my husband...how I adore that man...for loving me through the highs and lows of 2005...there were many of both...

High point - Xfest '05. After much thought, I have determined it to the best concert I've been to. I even somehow got a migrane, it hurt like hell to jump and head bang and look at the stage with all the flashing lights, but it was still enjoyable, even though I almost puked on the way home.
Low point - 5 friends all moving out of state. One of them moved with his at the time feance, and he is as miserable as can be. The other four moved when thier parents moved, three of them are doing ok, but one of them has had his life completly turned around, for the good. He found someone he really loves, gave up all drugs except for weed for her, only smokes a half pack a day instead of two a day, and has a job making 15 an hour. He even plans on getting married after his kid, my second god-kid, is born.

Hmmm. I see that it pays to read the first post.
High: Visiting with mom and dad after Christmas and over New years Low: Visiting with mom and dad after Christmas and over New years. Dear old dad doesn't have much longer to go. (I give him 3 months at his current rate of decline.) In global terms: High: This will sound odd, but the most inspiring thing I saw all year was the stage production of Riverdance. Simply astonishing. It certainly rekindled my faith in my fellow man. I remember thinking during the performance, "IF only we fought our wars like this, with warring countries sending their greatest dancers to defend their honor. May the best dancers win." Lows: Katrina and Islamic Evangelists (sorry... suicide bombers).
